Tara Garvey Official at Seanchóiche x Black History Month
We were honoured to have Tara Garvey Official featured at the powerful Seanchóiche x Black History Month event on October 30th, hosted at @thefumbally in collaboration with @black_andirish.
The theme of the night was JOY, and it truly was just that a beautiful celebration of Black voices, storytelling, community, and culture. Every story shared was told by Black speakers and centred around joy in its many forms: lived experience, fiction, poetry, and spoken word.
Our friend @notzeda hosted the evening, and we were incredibly proud to see her wearing one of our signature pieces the oversized hand-knit Claddagh dress from our Irish heritage collection. A modern take on tradition, this piece was designed to honour our roots, reimagine Irish identity, and hold space for cultural crossover in the most meaningful way.
This event was more than just a night of storytelling it was a statement of solidarity, creativity, and community.
Black joy is not a crime. It is a celebration and we’re grateful to have been part of it, in even a small way.
